A person died in a landslide at Risang in Bheri Municipality-2 Risang, Jaharkot on Saturday. 

According to Police Inspector Sudhir Kumar Khadka of District Police Office, Jajarkot, the deceased has been identified as Kedar Karki (52) of Risang. 

In the incident, 54-year-old Umasinh Khatri, 70-year-old Bhim Bahadur Karki and 87-year-old Rati Khatri of the same ward went missing while nine others were injured. 

One of the injured is being treated at Nepalgunj Nursing Hospital, two at Kohalpur Medical College, three at local Daurikanda Medical Centre. 

Three others have recovered and returned home. According to the police, in view of the risk of landslides, 200 people from that ward have been shifted  to the building of Tribhuvan Basic School. 

Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army personnel have been mobilized in the incident site.
