Karnali Province Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi has said the provincial Cabinet will be expanded soon following a three-point agreement between the CPN-UML and the Nepali Communist Party.

Shahi said discussions were underway on expanding the provincial government and that the Cabinet would be expanded soon as per the agreement.

He said the process had taken time as all seven provinces needed to abide by the three-point agreement. 

However, government activities have continued as usual, he added.

Shahi was elected chief minister on July 28 with the support of the CPN-UML.
