Barcelona thumped visitors Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday after Robert Lewandowski scored twice against his old club to earn the Catalans a sizeable lead ahead of next week's return visit to Germany, Reuters reported.

Undefeated since late December, treble-chasing Barca predictably dominated the opening stages and grabbed the lead with Raphinha's strike in the 25th minute. A string of saves from Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel frustrated Barca for the remainder of the first half.

Barcelona emerged more determined after the break and it took them only three minutes to score the second goal, with Raphinha assisting Lewandowski, who nodded home from close range.

The Polish striker extended their lead in the 66th minute from just inside the box while Lamine Yamal wrapped up another demolition job by Barcelona in the 77th.

"I think we played very well but we are not thinking about the semi-finals yet, we must keep the same focus and mentality that have brought us here so far," Lewandowski told Movistar Plus, according to Reuters.

Arsenal have produced their best result in recent memory with a 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

Nepal defeated Qatar by eight wickets in the opening match of the Quadrangular T20 Series at Mong Kok, Hong Kong, on Wednesday.

Put to bat first after losing the toss, Qatar scored 151 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Set 152 runs to win, Nepal achieved the target for the loss of two wickets in 17. 2 overs.

Opening batsman for Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel scored highest 32 runs off 19 balls, with four fours and two sixes.

Bhurtel and Asif Sheikh scored 81 runs in partnership for the first wicket. Sheikh scored 33 runs.

Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Wasir Ahmed shared a 62-run partnership for the third wicket.

Paudel and Ahmed scored unbeaten 37 and 30 runs respectively.

Mujeeb-ur-Rehman took two wickets for Qatar.

Captain Ikramullah Khan was the top scorer for Qatar with 54 runs off 54 balls including fiver boundaries and two sixes.

Similarly, Shahzaib Jamil made 31 runs off 21 balls with four sixes and Arumugaganesh Nagarajan 13 runs.

Likewise, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman scored unbeaten 20 runs off 19 balls and Mohammed Irshad 18 off 7 balls.

Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Gulsan Jha, Nandan Yadav and Lalit Rajbanshi claimed one wicket each for Nepal.

Bukayo Saka made a sensational return for Arsenal on Tuesday, scoring in a 2-1 win over Fulham after a three-month spell on the sidelines.

Saka, 23, had not played for Arsenal since injured his hamstring at Crystal Palace just before Christmas, forcing the England star to undergo surgery and a rehabilitation regimen. But he came off the bench in the 66th minute to a boisterous welcome from the Emirates crowd, and he scored Arsenal's second goal of the night with a cushioned header at the back post following a nice flick on from Gabriel Martinelli, ESPN reported.

The second-place Gunners dominated Fulham in the first half, taking the lead in the 37th minute with a shot from Mikel Merino. Fulham reduced their deficit in second-half stoppage time, but Arsenal held on to reduce Liverpool's lead to nine points at the top of the table.

Liverpool can regain their 12-point lead when they face Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta praised Saka's comeback in the prematch press conference and named him on the substitutes' bench for the team's 30th Premier League match of the season against Fulham, according to ESPN.

Saka was on the bench with Raheem Sterling and Leandro Trossard, while Ethan Nwaneri and Martinelli started as wingers.

Fulham remain in ninth place after the setback, but they may be overhauled by both Aston Villa and Bournemouth if either club wins on Wednesday.
