Young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal joined experts from the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Nepal's Agriculture and Forestry University to transplant Chinese hybrid rice seedlings in Chitwan.
The transplantation is part of the second phase of field trials under a China-aided agricultural project.
The project aims to test and cultivate high-yield rice varieties that suit local conditions and match Nepali tastes, supporting the sustainable development of agriculture in Nepal.
