Today's meeting of the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the proposal presented seeking consideration on 'Appropriation Bill, 2083'. 

Earlier, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle presented this proposal. 

Responding to queries raised by lawmakers, Finance Minister Wagle shared that many issues of budget allocation would be clear in the course of ministry-wise discussion.  

Taking part in discussion on the proposal, lawmaker Basana Thapa expressed the view that no adequate budget has been allocated in education and health sectors while Renuka Kauch complained that the government has not paid attention to eliminating the burden of long-term debt in the budget.

Similarly, Gopal Sharma commented that there was no balance in current expenditure and capital expenditure in the appropriation bill and grant to be provided to local levels has also decreased. 

Likewise, Narendra Kumar Kerung demanded the government to make arrangements of additional resources to make the health insurance program effective, saying employees should be made capable of making the tax system easier.

Pushpa Raj Kandel opined that adequate budget should be allocated to complete national pride projects on time while Krishna Hari Budhathoki expressed the view that infrastructure development activities should be made further effective by utilizing limited sources.

Complaining that victims of the Jajarkot earthquake have not yet got relief, Parbati BK urged the government to provide enough budget for the same. 

Other lawmakers-- Rajendra Kumar Rai, Ganesh BK, Guru Prasad Baral, Yashoda Kumari Baral, Khusbhu Oli, Pabitra BK, among others also put forth their views on different headings of the Appropriation Bill.
